R – Squared

R-Squared and Adjusted R-Squared indicate how well the linear regression model fits the data points.

The value of R-Squared ranges from 0 to 1 (0% to 100%).

• A high R-Squared value indicates that the data points are closely aligned with the linear regression line.
• A low R-Squared value suggests that the linear regression line does not fit the data well.

Visual Example of a Low R – Squared Value (0.00)

Our regression model shows an R-Squared value of zero, indicating that the linear regression line does not fit the data well.

This can be visualized by plotting the linear regression line through the data points of Average Pulse and Calorie Burnage.
