The frenchtojd() function converts a date from the French Republican Calendar to a Julian Day Count.
Tip: The French Republican Calendar, introduced during the French Revolution, was used by the French government for approximately twelve years, from late 1793. This function only handles dates from years 1 through 14 (Gregorian dates September 22, 1792 – September 22, 1806).
Tip: Use the jdtofrench() function to convert a Julian Day Count back to a French Republican date.
