CS Dark Web

The Dark Web

The Dark Web, also known as the Dark Net, is a part of the internet that can only be accessed using specific software and protocols, such as the Tor Network or Onion Router.

Anyone can reach the Dark Web by downloading the Tor Browser, which functions like standard browsers (e.g., Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge) but can access special .onion websites.

Traffic routed through the Tor Browser is automatically anonymized and encrypted across multiple hosts, with built-in protections against various tracking and de-anonymization attempts.

Accessing The Dark Web

Using the Tor Browser, you can access many entertaining and intriguing websites, including those that also exist on the regular internet. For example, if you visit the following URLs in the Tor Browser, your communications will be fully encrypted and anonymized within the Dark Web:

  • Facebook: http://www.facebookcorewwwi.onion/
  • DuckDuckGo Search Engine: http://3g2upl4pq6kufc4m.onion/
  • CIA (Central Intelligence Agency): http://ciadotgov4sjwlzihbbgxnqg3xiyrg7so2r2o3lt5wz5ypk4sxyjstad.onion
  • The Hidden Wiki: http://zqktlwiuavvvqqt4ybvgvi7tyo4hjl5xgfuvpdf6otjiycgwqbym2qad.onion/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Due to its built-in anonymizing features and encryption, the Dark Net also hosts numerous criminal websites, marketplaces, and networks.

Note: Exercise caution while navigating the Dark Net. The links above will only function with the proper software.
