AWS Support Plans

AWS Cloud Support Plans

AWS provides four distinct support plans:

  • Basic
  • Developer
  • Business
  • Enterprise

Basic Support

Basic is the default support option provided by AWS.

Basic support is free of charge.

It grants access to whitepapers, documentation, and support communities.

There are limitations on the types of inquiries you can make to AWS.

Paid Support

To access a higher level of support than Basic, you must pay for one of the following alternatives:

  • Developer: lowest cost
  • Business: mid-range cost
  • Enterprise: highest cost

These options cater to different needs, and all plans come with a monthly fee.

Developer Support

Access includes all features of Basic support, plus:

  • Best practice guidance
  • Client-side diagnostic tools
  • Support for building-block architecture on how to effectively use AWS services together

Business Support

Includes all features of Basic and Developer support, plus:

  • Use-case guidance
  • Access to all Trusted Advisor checks
  • Limited support for third-party software

Enterprise Support

Includes all features of Basic, Developer, and Business support, plus:

  • Application architecture guidance
  • A brief project to assess and provide guidance on your architecture and scalability
  • Access to a technical account manager

Technical Account Manager (TAM)

The Enterprise Plan offers access to a Technical Account Manager (TAM).

The TAM serves as your primary point of contact.

They assist you with design, architecture, and strategies for growth with AWS.

The TAM has access to expertise across all AWS services.
